First and foremost, I am a mother. My little ones bring me more happiness than I ever imagined and not very often in the way that I imagined, either. I see symbolism in the small moments of life. I love light and nature and art in every form. One of my most prized possessions is my collection of photo booth picture strips. I love to sing to my babies, redesign my wall space, and go ballroom dancing with my husband. I'm on a mission to try as many Diners, Drive-ins and Dives as Guy Fieri has reviewed. I love to party---and by party, I mean read books. My favorite sound is the quiet whisper, "Fly fly fly fly," my children chant with arms outstretched in flights of fancy. I'm a California girl at heart, a photographer by education, a designer by experience, a full-time mother by choice, and a Mormon by faith. Last, and hopefully also first, I'm a believer. I choose to write about faith because I want to be able to articulate my hope through Jesus Christ.

I cherish my testimony of Christ as my Savior. To me, Christ is the ultimate symbol of overcoming. Overcoming death, the evil in the world, even our own fears. Despite the terrible burden He faced and His plea to the Father to “let this cup pass from me,” He drank every drop, even down to the bitter dregs. His sufferings, like the ocean, give perspective to my personal cross, a drop in the bucket.
I've learned that Christ WILL forgive because He CAN forgive. Ultimately, it is the Savior's crowning joy that He can stand in for us and freely give that which He has bought with a price.
Christ is hope embodied, love personified, relief bestowed, joy heralded, and peace permeating. Every time I have reached for Him, He has answered me. I know that He is my Savior, miraculously aware of me despite my insignificance.
I love the idea that all my work can be praise to Him. I have a firm belief in the divinity of motherhood. Often, I feel the need to reexamine, defend and declutter this belief in the face of prevalent parenthood philosophies. But, in the anonymous moments of motherhood, I feel God's approval warm on my shoulders and my perspective expands.
I marvel at the love He has for all His children. I believe He wants us to come unto Him. And, I believe that Christ is The Way.
